Wendy Woods Williamson, Esq.—Guest Speaker

Wendy Woods Williamson, Esq., is the Executive Director of the Mediation Center of Savannah.

She was on the founding board of the Mediation Center in 1986. Over the past twenty years, she has served the Center on the Board of Directors, as President of the Board, as a volunteer mediator and as the trainer for new volunteers. In September of 2006, Wendy became Executive Director. Wendy is applying her legal background and her years of experience as a private and volunteer mediator to leading the Mediation Center into the future. Previously she was a practicing lawyer in Savannah for nine years after receiving both her BA and JD from the University of Georgia. She holds various leadership positions with her church and is registered for general, domestic and domestic violence mediations.

Ms. Williamson will provide an overview of the Mediation Center’s programs and services, with a particular focus on those that serve families with children and the Center’s youth and peer mediation programs. She will also discuss volunteer opportunities, required training for mediators, expectations, and support.
